NABA launches “ItalianLifestyle and Culture”CALL FOR ENTRIES 2015NABA wants to motivate young internationaltalents eager to undertake an intensive summerstudy experience in Milan, the cutting edge ofcreativity, by offering 5 full scholarships (100%)and 10 half scholarships (50%) on tuition for oneof the NABA’s 2-week Summer Courses runningthrough July-August 2015.NABA Summer School proposes a wide andupdated synthesis of NABA know-how, giving aview of the most significant trends of the market,of industrial creation processes, of artistic andsocial expression together with the opportunity toexperiment with a topical project theme.NABA Summer courses are 2-week intensiveresearch and project experiences in 7 thematicareas (Fashion, Fashion Management, Product andInterior Design, Visual & Digital Arts, Media Designand Italian Culture and Lifestyle) distributed along5 summer sessions.With students from almost 50 different countries,NABA community benefits from a broad diversityof cultures and ideas.Here in Milan, a thriving metropolis with aninternational dimension, the city of architects,designers, fashion stylists, entrepreneurs, graphicdesigners, creative minds and publishers, studentswill have an unequalled opportunity not just tolearn design, fashion and communication, but alsoto immerse themselves in a vibrant, stimulatingcreative culture that will be an asset to theireducation and professional experience

COMPETITION BRIEFITALIAN LIFESTYLE & CULTURE: What is ItalianCulture? How do Design, Architecture and a uniqueway of life influence design and lifestyle trends? Takinginspiration from at everyone on the planet should haveaccess to food that is healthy, safe and sufficient.Taking inspiration from the beauty of Italian landscapeand the richness of its traditions and customs,applicants must submit a creative project thatexpresses the essence of Italy through design (projectsto be developed in any tool that the applicant isfamiliar with: e.g. sketches, illustrations, computergraphics, video, photography, collage, etc.).Please notice that the chosen technique must berelated to the field of the course for which applicantsare applying to (e.g.: an applicant selecting InteriorDesign courses should submit a project related toInterior Design).AUDIENCENABA Summer Scholarship Competition 2015 isaddressed to anyone with a passion for design,fashion, interior & architecture, visual and graphicdesign or any related field that have an inquisitivemind and an attitude for critical thinking andinvestigation.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIANABA can accept bookings from students from 18years of age. In case of applicants who are 17 butshow a strong motivation to NABA Introduction levelor Experience level courses, NABA will take theirapplications into account, on condition that a writtendeclaration of responsibility is sent by their parents orlegal guardians.All classes at NABA are held in English, so studentswill be required to have a good understanding of theEnglish language.Please carefully read the course descriptions beforeapplying to a course as NABA will not take anyresponsibility for the students’ choice of a course levelthat is not suitable to their background and skills.SUBMISSIONApplicants must submit:• NABA Summer Courses Application Form 2015• The creative project on the Competition’s brief“Italian Lifestyle and Culture”• Short description in English (max.200 words) ofthe concept of the project highlighting reasonssupporting their choicesDEADLINEAll material must be sent via e-mail tosummer@naba.it indicating in the subject “2015Summer Courses Scholarship Competition – ItalianLifestyle and Culture” by and not later than February15th 2015.
