Anamika Butalia –
The school is located within a four-minute walk from the Duomo in Florence and has a good staff at the reception, made up of friendly, helpful and English-speaking people. I was assigned the Tornio class with Enrico Ferrarini, who, despite being just 30-years-old, is a informative, generous and easy-to-talk-to teacher. He taught us not just how to work on the tornio (wheel) but also other techniques for ceramics as well as various ways to work with clay. Unfortunately, it took the school almost three weeks to arrange for paints and access to the oven, so we only got one week to experiment with baking, learning how to decorate such as painting, scratching, etc.
