Painting Course in Florence<\/h2>\n

Our course<\/strong> runs in an art workshop \u201cbottega<\/em>\u201d in Florence. The Italian bottega<\/em><\/strong> was the place where the most famous Italian artists, such as Giotto, Leonardo and Raffaello, learned the painting techniques.<\/p>\n

All these painters, in fact, did not learn how to paint in an art school but in a b<\/strong>ottega.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today, following this ancient learning method, we offer you the same opportunity: to paint in a real Florentine bottega!<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The workshop is located in the historic centre of Florence. It is open all year round and you can take short or long term courses. This painting course is open to all levels.<\/p>\n

Painting in Italy! <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Can you imagine a better place to learn painting?<\/strong>\u00a0 It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner! Studying painting while visiting Florentine museums is a dream come true. Studying art in Italy means breathing the atmosphere of a place that has the most important art heritage in the world.<\/p>\n

Our Florence art studio offers 1, 2 or more weeks of painting courses.<\/p>\n

You will study:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • the use of coloured pencils and pastels techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • the use of normal and oily temperas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • the use of oil-colours for glazing and printing painting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • You will make copies of Old Masters to practise these techniques, with special attention to fourteenth-century tempera on board and gold-ground techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
