Jewellery design and drawing course

 <\/p>\n

Our jewellery design and drawing course is offered by our school in Florence. Located in the historic city centre, just a stone\u2019s throw from the Ponte Vecchio, in the neighborhood of Santo Spirito, famous for its goldsmiths and jewellers, artists and artisans.<\/p>\n

The school has a large, well-equipped workshop and large classrooms for drawing and designing, both freehand and computer-aided.<\/p>\n

The course lasts 4 or 12 weeks (8 hours per week).<\/p>\n

If you do not have any knowledge of technical drawing you must attend a preparatory module consisting in 16 hours of technical drawing and design (included in the price). This option is only available for the 12 week course.<\/p>\n

The programme includes aspects of technical training and creative aspects at the conceptual stage of the jewel.<\/p>\n

Correct representation of the idea, education in taste and aesthetics through analysis of shape, development of creative skills.<\/p>\n

The program includes:<\/p>\n

analysis of technical constraints in rendering an idea through limits imposed by wearability and the client\u2019s target market:<\/p>\n

designing one-off pieces or in series, modular jewels created in large and small series. Material technology and industrial and handcraft working, project economic analysis.<\/p>\n

Designing a set:<\/p>\n

necklace, earrings, brooch, bracelet and ring.<\/p>\n

Each project involves analyzing and selecting materials and a decorative technique.<\/p>\n

Graphics are drawn in pencil, watercolors and tempera.<\/p>\n

There will also be lessons on computer-aided jewel design and the basics of gemmology.<\/p>\n
