Orbetello

Orbetello stands among the most characteristic fishing villages in Italy. Conveniently located in the maritime region of Maremma (southern Tuscany), at very close distance from Rome and Florence, it is surrounded by two lagoons, hills and beaches. Orbetello lies in front of the islands of Il Giglio and Giannutri and within walking distance of the famous Monte Argentario. All this makes of Orbetello an ideal place to learn Italian language and culture and enjoy a vacation at the beach.

Why Orbetello?

The lagoon which surrounds Orbetello is part of a protected nature reserve and is one of the most uncontaminated areas of natural beauty in Tuscany. Orbetello is a small, compact town with the centre free from cars and the narrow streets and squares are packed with bars, restaurants and shops. There is an endless choice of places to eat.

When to go?

The school in Orbetello is open from April to October and actually it is the best period of the year to take an Italian language course enjoying a fantastic holiday on the Italian coast at the same time.
