Leather Bags and Accessories Course: Complete Bag Making Training
Learn the art of bag making with our comprehensive Leather Bags and Accessories course.
This program continues the rich tradition and expertise of the renowned Scuola del Cuoio in Florence, a leading academy for leather working founded in 1949. With over 2500 students from 40 countries, the Scuola del Cuoio has trained some of the finest leather artisans in the world.
Our leatherbag course, taught by experienced professionals, offers a blend of traditional and modern leather bag making techniques, along with design, branding, and business skills. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own design identity, conceive and create your own capsule collection, and start building your brand.
The leather course is divided into 2 different modules:
A 10-week basic module, in which you learn the basic elements of bag making.
Our leather work courses include professional training in pattern making and prototyping of basic constructions, including:
– Clutch bags
– Bucket bags
– Classic bags with compartments
– Saddle Bags
In the 20-week programme, you will be able to reach a professional level and to acquire advanced bag making and design skills

– Turned inside out bags
– Classic constructions with irregular shapes
– Bowling Bags
– Classic bags with hanging lining
– Marketing, Business lectures

Course participants are encouraged to think and develop the essential elements oftheir own design identity.
In our courses, you will be able to conceive, design and create your own capsule collection, which will help you start to define your personal aesthetic vision while thinking about brand building strategies.

ENROLL ONE OF OUR COURSES
Before you enroll, a personal interview with the school’s staff will be arranged, which will help us verify your language skills and motivations.
PARTICIPANTS
There is a maximum of 12 students. There are no previous requisites. When we handle your application, we will pay special attention to your motivation and your personal vision.
REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma; high-intermediate (B2) level of English or Italian language (enough to understand and to participate in lessons); 18 years of age at the time of application.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is compulsory. Classes and workshops are held from Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
STARTING DATES
Our training programmes starts twice a year: beginning of February and beginning of September.
HOUSING
The school provides students with information and support help you find accommodation during for the duration of your course. Living expenses are not included in the tuition fee.
