Painting holidays in Italy! Planning an art holiday in Italy?

Our Florence school offers 2 or more weeks long classic painting techniques courses.

This course can be taught in Italian or in English. Courses are very practical and hands-on and are conducted by local artists.

The course introduces you to the painting techniques practised between 1300 and 1500.

You will also study the major artworks created during this period by artists from Giotto to Leonardo and Michelangelo.

The knowledge gained will be put into practice by the copying of paintings in order to learn the fundamental techniques used; such as egg tempera, gold leaf, oil colours and other materials.

The entire process for the realization of complete paintings will start by the preparation of the supports and it will end with the final glazing.

Painting course in Florence

Our painting course is organized by our art school in Florence. We offer courses on art and culture for students interested in learning the skills of the Visual Arts with a Curriculum that is approachable and complete.

Courses can last from 2 weeks to one year long, depending on your own needs. They are easily adaptable and can be personalized to serve the student’s individual needs.

They range from beginner to professional level. The school is open year-round and is located in the historic center of Florence.

Courses start any Monday.
