Learn painting conservation in Italy!

Our Florence school offers oil painting restoration courses and gilding restoration courses.

You can book a 80, 160, 240 or 320 hour course and distribute your hours along the number of weeks of your choice (from 4 to 8 hours a day).

This course is in group and it is taught in Italian or English.

Courses are very practical and hands-on, and are conducted by local maestros concerned with maintaining Italian artistic traditions alive. Ask us for detailed programmes.

The restorer will teach you curiosities and tricks of the trade.

You will get to know a different Italy, off the beaten track.

By the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Painting Restoration Course in Florence

Our painting restoration course is held in a restoration workshop or bottega in Florence. We offer hands-on restoration courses taught by experienced professionals. This workshop works in conjunction with the Uffizi Gallery and other important Italian and international museums.

The workshop is located in the very heart of artisan Florence and only a short distance from Ponte Vecchio. Here you will discover the atmosphere of the ancient art workshops and studios.

Course materials:	Not included in course fees. The cost of these materials will depend on the type of course and project chosen by the student.

I have recently completed my course with the tutors in Florence and it was the best thing I have ever done. It was very well taught and helpful beyond anything I could of imagined. My tutors were very welcoming and not only do I wish to keep in touch but I also feel I have gained many new long life friendships.
