Stone Setting course
Our stone setting course is offered by our jewellery school in Florence. The school is located in the historic city centre, near Ponte Vecchio. It has a well-equipped workshop with professional workbenches, tools and equipment for any kind of specializations.
Stone-setting is a procedure for fixing the gemstones in different ways inside the cavities prepared by the goldsmith. The setting must ensure that the fit is a perfect match with the shape, size, and cut.
The stone-setter’s precision and experience in using the traditional techniques and tools is one of the most important aspects of this craft.
At the same time, if you wish, you can combine stone setting classes with other specialization courses as enamelling, engraving and lost wax casting courses.

Accommodation in Florence

We can offer you accommodation near the school for the entire duration of your course. The options available in Florence are:
- Single room with use of kitchen in shared flats (usually with 2 or 3 people).
- Double room with use of kitchen, ideal for couples or friends travelling together.
Important details:
- Accommodation is available from Sunday to Sunday.
- Water, gas and electricity costs are included.
- Sheets and towels are provided.
- The flats are shared with Italians, which makes it easier to practise the language.
- Accommodation is allocated approximately 20 days before your arrival in Italy.
- In some cases, it is possible to request a private bathroom (at an additional cost).
If you prefer, you can also request other types of accommodation, such as private apartments or stays with Italian families with half board, always in areas well connected to the centre of the city.
