Our Italian courses in Naples

The Italian courses in Naples are intensive, with 20 lessons per week, and are available for flexible durations, from 1 week up to long-term programmes (up to 48 weeks).

Courses are organised across six language levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. On the first day of the course, students take a written and oral placement test to ensure they are placed in the most suitable group.

Classes take place in small groups, with an average of 8 students and a maximum of 12, creating a relaxed and engaging learning environment.

The school we collaborate with in Naples is Centro Italiano, located close to Via Toledo, Piazza Municipio and the waterfront. This central location makes it easy to attend classes and experience Naples on foot.

Above all, the school offers a homely atmosphere, cheerful like the character of Neapolitans.  Wifi and a library are always available for free. A notice board at the entrance will remind you of all the events not to be missed, and there is no books to buy!

Why  study Italian in Naples ?

Naples offers a highly immersive language-learning environment. Italian is spoken everywhere and communication tends to be direct, expressive and spontaneous, which makes the city particularly effective for improving listening and speaking skills.

Compared to more formal or highly touristic destinations, Naples allows students to experience Italian culture in a very authentic way. Daily interactions, strong regional traditions and a lively street culture all contribute to a deeper understanding of both the language and local life.

Naples is also an excellent base for exploring southern Italy. Excursions and cultural visits to places such as Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, Caserta, Sorrento, Capri and Ischia complement the language course and provide further opportunities to practise Italian in real contexts.

Drink the best Italian coffee and eat the real Italian pizza!

Cultural activities and life in Naples

Alongside language lessons, the school organises a programme of social and cultural activities designed to help students engage with local life and practise Italian outside the classroom.

Activities may include:

  • guided visits and excursions in Naples and the Campania region
  • cultural outings and social events
  • free cultural seminars on topics such as art history, Italian cinema, music, theatre and regional traditions

Participation in social activities is included in the course price. Students only cover entrance fees and transport costs.

The school also offers the possibility of combining Italian language courses with short courses in cooking courses as well as professional pizza-making courses, for students interested in a more specialised experience.

    Great experience with Studiainitalia.
I took an Italian course in Naples.
    It was a fantastic experience.
The classes were interesting, the teachers were wonderful (Maria Rita, Amelia, etc.).
My classmates were also great, as was the girl at the reception desk at the Italian Centre.
They found me private accommodation near the study centre.
The owner of the house, Silvana, and her husband were very kind to me.
And all this in the most beautiful city in the world…
Thank you very much, I will definitely be back.

I was at the school for only one week (beginners) and the experience has made a great difference to my confidence in trying to speak Italian. The school has a friendly relaxed learning environment in the centre of Naples. I will return at the first opportunity.

I had a great experience with my Italian language course at Centro Italiano Napoli, organised by Studiainitalia. The Studiainitalia team were very efficient and friendly and replied to all my questions without delay and in a really helpful manner. The teachers at Centro Italiano Napoli were warm, friendly and efficient, creating a relaxed yet stimulating classroom environment. I really liked the building itself and its location in the historic centre of Naples. The admin staff there were very helpful and friendly, and it’s a really nice touch that you can help yourself to an espresso at the reception desk between classes. I fell in love with Naples – it’s a totally fascinating city!! And contrary to all the warnings I got about safety and the risk of theft before my trip, I experienced nothing but a positive atmosphere and super friendly and helpful locals. My accommodation was excellent, my host friendly and supportive.

I would strongly recommend Studiaintalia and the Centro Italiano in Naples to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Italian life and language.

I had a great experience with StudiainItalia, professional and especially very clear and responsive. I visited Cagliari, Toarmina, Napoli en Bologna although I also received information about Tropea and Firenze when I asked. All together enjoyed the contact with the agency and would recommend to book your course through them as they can help you with all the little details before arrival!

I did a three-week course in Naples this summer with my sister and it was great. The owner of the agency helped us with everything and we found her to be very professional. On the other hand, the owner of the house where we lived made us feel at home and the teachers at the academy are very good. The experience was so good that my sister went back to Naples two weeks after returning to Spain and I am sure we will contact the agency again.

I took a one-week intensive course and it was an excellent experience. From the first steps I was very well looked after, and once in Naples I really enjoyed the classes and the city. I would definitely come back again!

Hello, I really liked both the course and the flat I stayed in. The teachers are great professionals. The only thing I would like to point out is that in the student flats there are people with a similar level of Italian language and Naples is a wonderful city. I wouldn’t mind coming back and doing another course….

HelloI have just returned from a two-week stay in Italy with Studiainitalia: one week in Rome and one week in Naples, both the family and the school were great. The family lived in one of the best neighbourhoods in the city (Chiaia), very safe, full of shops and restaurants, close to the seafront and very well connected to all areas of interest in the city, including the school which was within walking distance (25 minutes). I had a small but bright room with everything I needed for my stay, with a private bathroom. They made me feel like part of the family at all times; the first day they invited me to dinner with their friends and another evening Paola, the lady, took me for a walk around the neighbourhood to see the shops where I could find gifts for Spain. The school and the teachers were very good, especially my teachers, Manuela and Rosa, who as well as teaching us grammar taught us about Neapolitan culture. My group was very small: 6 students of various nationalities: Germany, Colombia, Israel, Japan and Spain. Every Friday there is a farewell party with an aperitif and the students who voluntarily want to sing and/or play an instrument for the entertainment of the rest of the group. I will definitely come again.

Dear Federica, just to say thanks for your kind mails, which find me back in Vienna. I had an excellent experience at Studiainitalia, Dario was an outstanding teacher: knowledgeable, structured, imaginative, kind, and funny, I felt I was in excellent hands and I would be happy to come back should my time allow it.

I loved every minute of my course in Naples. The school facilities were good and the teachers fantastic. I will definitely be recommending the course to interested peopleA couple of minor things that might be improved:1. signage at entry – I did have a little trouble locating the entrance on my first day (easy after that);2. this one was both an advantage and disadvantage – no textbook was provided (good as I did not to add a book to my luggage back to Australia) but the little photocopied pieces of paper used in class were hard to file when I got home. I use these as a record of my progress as I learn from my mistakes.Fantastico in every other respect. Thank you!

The course is very enjoyable and the teachers (Rosa and Manuela taught me) are great teachers who make the lessons fun and practical. The course is always spoken in Italian, so you learn a lot in an intensive way.Naples is very attractive and there are many things to see, both in the city itself and in the surrounding area, so in one week we had to choose. The centre is in the city centre, so after class you can enjoy a nice walk to get to know the streets, the people and the typical food of this beautiful city. The pity is that one week flies by and it was a bit short. Maybe one day I can do it again…

It was one of the best experiences of my life, not only did I learn a lot of Italian, which was the main objective, but I also got to know a city and people that I fell in love with. The quality and atmosphere of the school is unbeatable. The attention and friendliness of the teachers is an aspect worth highlighting. Beyond their quality as teachers, all the staff at the school were attentive and dedicated, with a closeness that invited you to relate to the school in a deeper way… It was, as I said, an unforgettable experience, you can only think after living something like this, in the way to return.

Through StudiinItalia I went to do an art course with the teacher Bruno Pisano who works at the Italian language school in Naples, the accommodation was correct and very well located in the historic centre of Naples, the owners of the house were very hospitable and friendly, the course was exceptional. The teacher Bruno is excellent, he has a great knowledge of Neapolitan art. I especially liked his approach because through art we got to know the complex and interesting history of Naples and the characteristics and philosophy of life of the people. He made us not only enjoy and admire the infinite art of Naples but also feel empathy and affection for the Neapolitans. Highly recommended

My stay in Naples has been an unforgettable experience. The people were wonderful, the school where I took the course was great and the teachers were very professional, a city full of life with so much culture and art to discover that it is necessary to return, not at all unsafe, at no time did I feel afraid and I walked down the street at dawn.
