Gold jewellery course for goldsmiths

This is a professional, long-term jewellery course (108 hours in 12 weeks) that provides with an advanced knowledge of handcrafted jewellery using ancient goldsmith techniques. This is a one-to-one course, where each trainee is personally followed by the master-craftsman in order to acquire skills through the creation of a jewel, realized in silver and entirely by hand. Courses start every Monday (except during August), course materials are included. The programme includes, among others, the following sections:

• Granulation techniques
• Engraving with chiesels on pitch
• Realization of advanced artisan handcrafted chains
• Advanced artisan handcrafted clasp closures and hinges
• Metal perforation
• Advanced tridimensional construction techniques
• Assembly of different advanced elements
• Application of filigree elements and bas-relief elements realized with chisel on pitch
