  • Choose either a long or a short-term leather-working course (108 hours in 12 weeks or 48/80 hours in 4 weeks).
  • You will be personally followed by the master-craftsman himself.
  • You will acquire skills in leather-working through the creation of a specific article, usually a bag, entirely by hand and without a sewing machine.
  • You will use only traditional craft tools – cobblers’ knives, awls, needle and thread.
  • Performing all stages of cutting, piercing, making up and hand-sewing the different strips and trimmings.
  • You will develop your manual abilities to match your own personal creativity.

At the end of the course you will be able to make your own personally designed bag.

Our handmade bags course runs in workshop “bottega” in Florence. The workshop is located in the historic area of Santo Spirito.

This leather handbag making course in Italy is perfect if you wish to learn fast and deeply. The bottega is the most advisable place for a quick, practical and immersive learning. The craftsman will teach you the true Italian techniques of the leather bags Made in Italy.

 

In addition, you will have a craftsman who will teach you curiosities and tricks of a trade that also practices eco-sustainability.

The human aspect is also very important, infact, each leather making course is tailor made following your needs. You will get to know a different Italy, far from the beaten track.
