Advanced sewing workshop in Florence


Tailoring courses are fully customizable to meet the needs of companies and students seeking a quality course with expert staff. Courses are aimed at those who work in the field of fashion (fashion design, fashion technicians, creative designers, CAD models, etc.) or who wish to specialize and increase their professional skills on a practical level. The theoretical and practical aspects addressed during the course include:

o Interpretation of the figure
o Study and research of materials
o Design of paper patterns
o Sewing: various techniques and types of stitches. eyelets
o Pockets
o Sleeves
o Shirts
o Foulard
o Assemble several garments
o Each participant in the course must cut and make at least 5 pieces of clothing according to the skills acquired during the course
o Coordination and organization

Courses are held in a sewing workshop. They have a duration of 112 hours and are taught from Monday to Saturday. Teaching is in charge of professional experts of the sector. Courses are individual, so that you gain the most out of our lessons. At the end of the programme you wil hold a practical exam and receive a Certificate of Participation.

Our workshop is located in the historic center of Florence, in the heart of a neighborhood of artisans. Courses are one to one and held from Monday to Saturday. Teachers are professionals in the sector and lessons are held in Italian (a translation service is available). At the end of the course students will receive a certificate of attendance. The cost of the course includes: material, private guided tours related to the fashion sector. The course programme includes aspects of the history of tailoring in Florence, Fabrics and their use, etc.

The school will be closed on the following national holidays: Epiphany (06/01), Easter Monday, Italy Liberation Day (25/04), Workers' Day (01/05), Republic Day (02/06), Ferragosto (15/08), All Saints (01/11), Immaculate Conception (8/12), Christmas holidays and New Year.
