Our furniture restoration workshop offers 1, 2 or more weeks of restoration courses.

The basic programme includes:

• Knowledge and care of working tools

• Types of timber

• Different woods for the reconstruction of the missing parts

• Organic adhesives and gluing techniques

• Materials and techniques of polishing and varnishing,

• Restoration of wooden items.

Courses are highly customized and held in Italian.

The programme can be adapted to your own needs. You can also ask for an interpretation service.

Furniture restoration course

 

This course is held in an artisan workshop “bottega” in Florence. The restorer will teach you what are the true Italian techniques of furniture restoration.

In addition, you will have a craftsman who will teach you the tricks of the trade.

The human aspect is also very important for a quick and intensive learning. The course is tailor made following your needs.

We can provide you with accommodation near your school for the whole duration of your course in Italy. We offer the following types of accommodation:

 

  • Single rooms, with kitchen use, in shared flats (generally 2-3 persons);
  • Double rooms, with kitchen use, for couples and people travelling together;
  • Single rooms in host families, with meals;

Accommodation is available from Sunday to Sunday.

 

• Costs of water, gas and electricity are included. Towels and sheets are provided.

• Flats are shared with Italians, generally between 2 or 3 persons.

• Accommodations are assigned only 20 days before your arrival in Italy.

• Sometimes it is possible to request a private bathroom (supplement required).

    I found the course definitely useful, Enrico is a good teacher and very nice guy. In spite of my poor Italian he managed to make me understand everything.The only thing that not that positive is the limited time, there is a lot to learn, I think in any of these courses.
