This work and study programme in restaurants is targeted at culinary students from 18 to 30 years old who would like to combine their Italian course with a cooking work stay in Florence. You will attend an intensive Italian course during the first 4 weeks and thereafter start your working stage (8 weeks; 32 hours per week) in an Italian restaurant. This is not a paid job.

Our Italian courses in Florence consist of 4 Italian lessons per day. Courses are open to all levels, from beginners to advanced according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Groups are very small (6-10 students).

The teaching method is based on the communicative approach focusing on those aspects of language for achieving effective linguistic interaction.

Our Italian and work in restaurants program is offered by our school in Florence. It was founded in 1978 and it is recognised by the Italian Education Ministry. The school is located in a historic building in the centre of Florence very close to Ponte Vecchio. In addition, it is recognized as consultancy and training organisation by the Region of Tuscany.

This work & stage program is an opportunity to combine your Italian studies with a practical experience in an Italian restaurant.

• Accommodations are assigned only 20 days before your arrival in Italy.

• Sometimes it is possible to request a private bathroom (supplement required).

Definitely the best experience of my life! I learnt a lot and made friends that I’ll carry with me forever… It was a two-month Italian course + internship in a traditional Italian restaurant in Florence. The city is simply marvellous!
