Thinking about a sculpture workshop in Italy?
Don’t you know which one to choose due to the wide offer? We give you the chance to create your own sculpture in an old sculpting studio located in the heart of Florence. You will touch and feel the Florentine art atmosphere.
We offer both clay and wood sculpture courses. You can book from 24 up to 96 hours.
Sculpture in clay
You will study the various types of clay, the utensils and their correct use.
You will see modelling techniques for sculptures in the round, in low and high relief and “a colombino” (statues which are hollow inside with a uniform thickness).
You will create imaginative works, using a pre-existent model or a model from life, also using photographic material and anatomical atlas.
Secondly, you will fire the work and apply cold varnishes or polychromes, using tempera or oil colours.
Wax finishing, bronze casting includes the production of an original model in wax, the creation of a cast in plaster or silicon gums to reproduce the model, into which the wax is then poured, touching up of the work to prepare it for casting.

Our sculpture course is held in the sculptor’s atelier in Florence.

Our art courses in Italy are usually held in the artists’ workshop, the only place where it is possible to take an immersive learning.
Each artist will teach you what are the true Italian techniques. You will get to know a different Italy thanks to the deep contact you will have with your teacher artist during your stay.
This course is one to one. It is held in Italian but we can organize a translation service. The programme can be adapted to your requests and knowledge.
This course is available for all levels. By the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

We can offer you accommodation near the school for the entire duration of your course. The options available in Florence are:
- Single room with use of kitchen in shared flats (usually with 2 or 3 people).
- Double room with use of kitchen, ideal for couples or friends travelling together.
Important details:
- Accommodation is available from Sunday to Sunday.
- Water, gas and electricity costs are included.
- Sheets and towels are provided.
- The flats are shared with Italians, which makes it easier to practise the language.
- Accommodation is allocated approximately 20 days before your arrival in Italy.
- In some cases, it is possible to request a private bathroom (at an additional cost).
If you prefer, you can also request other types of accommodation, such as private apartments or stays with Italian families with half board, always in areas well connected to the centre of the city.
