Learn bas-relief in Italy!

This bas-relief professional course offers you the chance to learn the ancient technique of bas-relief with chisels on pitch.

The  course lasts at least 2 weeks (20 hours per week)

Courses start every Monday (except during August). Course materials are included.

The course programme includes, among others, the following topics:

• Introduction of ancient tools, materials and metals
• Creation of working tools
• Realization of the pitch following the recipe used in the artisan’s workshop (based on Benvenuto Cellini’s 16th century pitch recipe)
• Drawing development
• Transfer technique of drawing on metal plate
• Knowledge of the appropriate plate thickness to use according to the metal used and the developed drawing.
