- This exclusive course is aimed at the 50+ age group, especially if you wish to improve your Italian with people of similar age and interests.
- The course includes a separate cultural programme especially organized for 50+ students, which includes three afternoon activities per week as museum visits, guided walks in Florence or tastings and excursions to explore Tuscany (Siena, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano) on Saturdays.
Italian 50+ course in Florence
Our Italian course for adults in Florence is always available. Our school Centro Machiavelli, founded in 1978, is recognised by the Italian Education Ministry.
It is characterized by the care and attention with which staff members treat each and every student.
The school is located in an historic building in the centre of Florence, very close to Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Santo Spirito.
This intensive course features four daily lessons plus a supplemental program of three weekly activities, including guided visits to Florence’s landmark museums and churches.
For example:
A tour of Florence to discover the most famous monuments in the city
A walk to the Piazzale Michelangelo and a visit of the San Miniato al Monte church
Visit to the Uffizi Gallery or the Accademia Gallery of Florence (in low season).
A walk of the Oltrarno district
A visit of the Santa Croce church
A visit to the Medici Chapel in San Lorenzo
A visit to an artisan workshop
A walk in the historic centre discovering secrets and legends of Florence
An Italian history or culture seminar
Afternoon or evening with a cooking lesson and dinner together
Excursions to Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo or other Tuscan cities
Students will also explore the city’s history via specialized thematic itineraries.
Transportation costs and admission fees are excluded.
The school organizes social activities which take place in the afternoon and can be added to the Senior activities.

- Accommodation is allocated approximately 20 days before your arrival in Italy.
- In some cases, it is possible to request a private bathroom (at an additional cost).
If you prefer, you can also request other types of accommodation, such as private apartments or stays with Italian families with half board, always in areas well connected to the centre of the city.
