Our Italian language course in Venice takes place all year. Our school, Istituto Venezia, is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education.
The school is located in the historical centre of Venice, in a historical building with a wide terrace on one of the most beautiful squares in the city.
Teachers are continuously updated with special seminars and teacher training programmes. They are professionals teaching Italian as a foreign language. The teaching methodology focuses on a fully communicative approach. It aims at developing oral and written communication skills. Therefore, if you wish to study Italian in Venice, we guarantee one of the best schools.
The intensive Italian course in Venice includes 20 lessons per week, from Monday to Friday, and is available for all levels, from beginner to advanced. You can study from 1 week onwards, with the possibility of longer programmes.
Before classes begin, students complete a placement test to ensure they are placed in the right level from day one.

No hubo recepción de bienvenida con una explicación por las clases de las actividades programadas ni la documentación que había en la carpeta que nos dieron, dentro de la bolsa de obsequio.
Las clases resultaron aburridas en el caso del nivel C1, ya que, a diferencia del instituto en Trieste, solo hubo una docente, quien tenía un tono muy monótono y volumen bajo. No repasamos apenas gramática. Tampoco profundizamos en vocabulario temático. De hecho, teníamos que pedirle a veces que escribiera las palabras o expresiones que surgían en las conversaciones. Tan sólo repartió cuatro fotocopias en los cinco días y no fue porque utilizara medios audiovisuales, puesto que esta profesora era de “ papel y lápiz “ como se definió. El grupo de alumnos resultó ser diverso y enriquecedor.
Respecto al nivel 1, en el que estaba una persona de mi grupo, la misma se encontró muy a gusto en el grupo y con el profesor.
Realizamos dos actividades por la tarde con la escuela, que fueron interesantes.
La ubicación de la misma es idónea y la residencia estaba a unos minutos. Las instalaciones de esta última eran cómodas y modernas en lineas generales.

Me sentía bastante feliz hablando el poco italiano que sabía. Mi confianza creció rápidamente. Me sentí apoyada por mi profesor, que es fantástico. Me encantó el tiempo que pasé en el Instituto Venezia.
Fuera del Instituto, me resultaba frustrante no tener muchas oportunidades de hablar bien italiano, ya que las personas que trabajan en bares y restaurantes tienen que hablar inglés.

Fora do Instituto, achei frustrante não ter muitas oportunidades de falar bem italiano, porque as pessoas que trabalham em bares/restaurantes precisam falar inglês.

I felt quite happy speaking the little Italian I knew. My confidence grew rapidly. I felt supported by my teacher, who is fantastic. I loved my time at the Istituto Venezia.
Outside of the Institute, I found it frustrating not to have many opportunities to speak Italian well because people working in bars/restaurants have to speak English.
However, I did have opportunities at the market, in local charity shops and in local shops and markets in general. People were very helpful and I felt relaxed.

How can I not give you 5 stars after all the experiences I have had thanks to you! I’m back in Paris but my heart is still hibernating in Venice. The school is fantastic, the classes are great fun and the teachers are super friendly. They organise many extra-curricular activities in the afternoons which not only enrich your knowledge about Venice etc. but also help you to get to know the other students, to integrate into a group so that you can go out, visit together, practise Italian…. There hasn’t been a time when I haven’t made a thousand and one friends with you and then I’ll come back to see them again (either I go or they come). In fact, I’m already invited back to Venice in April and I’m staying with a friend for a week, the city is very beautiful and has a dreamlike atmosphere linked to the water that you can’t see in any other city, because Venice is unique. El instituto fantástico, las clases muy divertidas y los profesores super afables. Tudo estava ótimo. Quando cheguei, eu tinha a documentação e a chave do quarto que você havia me dito. A residência era muito tranquila e o quarto também era muito bom (eles o limpavam e trocavam os lençóis e as toalhas uma vez por semana e tudo mais). Everything was great. When I arrived I had the documentation and the key to the room where you had told me. The residence was very quiet and the room was very nice too (they cleaned it and changed the sheets and towels once a week and everything). The only bad thing was that it was very hot and there wasn’t even a fan, the school was very good too. The teachers were very good and very available (especially Silvia). And the guy at the reception was also great, advising on extracurricular and cultural activities. The atmosphere of the school, in general, was unbeatable and it was a very good experience. I’ve learned a lot of Italian and I’ve also enjoyed the city a lot. Thanks for your advice and see you next time (which I hope will be next summer !!!!).

La residencia muy tranquila y la habitación muy bien también (me la limpiaron y cambiaron sábanas y toallas una vez por semana y todo).
