Italian in Taormina
Our Italian school in Taormina, Babilonia, is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education.
The school is a few meters from the Greek Theatre. The school has a beautiful garden where they host a wide variety of cultural events. In the garden students can relax under the lush green trees. You can study and meet your friends for a coffee.
The school cafeteria prepares typical Sicilian dishes. All of the teachers speak one or two other languages. The school organizes many social activities and excursions.
It is a perfect invitation to study Italian in Taormina and to discover the Sicilian way of life.
The school also offer semi intensive courses, private Italian lesson at teacher home and more courses. You can do sport activities as trekking and diving. You can also learn Sicilian cooking attending very special lessons.
Special programs for 50+ are available too.

Não recomendo a nenhum amigo. Taormina é uma cidade extremamente turística. Temos porca oportunidade de praticar a língua italiana porque na rua, nos restaurantes, lojas, etc., todos respondem em inglês e insistem em falar em inglês. Ademais, a cidade é “fake”, é ocupada por estrangeiros, quantidades imensas, todos habitando no centro de Taormina. Os nativos, italianos, não podem pagar as rendas da cidade.
Para os amigos sugiro uma visita de 2 dias a Taormina, e para os inimigos 15 dias.

I had a great experience with StudiainItalia, professional and especially very clear and responsive. I visited Cagliari, Toarmina, Napoli en Bologna although I also received information about Tropea and Firenze when I asked. J’ai beaucoup aimé la méthode d’enseignement de l’académie, les activités programmées, l’organisation… en fait, tout était très structuré et il a été facile de s’adapter à l’île et de rencontrer des gens. En ce qui concerne le logement, j’ai partagé un appartement et les propriétaires accueillants étaient très gentils.

I have just completed a one week course in Taormina and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their Italian language skills to the next level. The school encourages only Italian to be spoken and if you discipline yourself to that requirement you will progress more than you can imagine! My tips are: don’t be shy, join in the extra activities and avoid anyone who keeps on speaking English!The school has an onsite restaurant/cafe of the highest standard which is a real bonus.Only regret is that I didn’t go for longer – very, very good value in my opinion.

Acabei de concluir um curso de uma semana em Taormina e posso recomendá-lo de todo o coração a qualquer pessoa que queira levar suas habilidades no idioma italiano para o próximo nível. A escola incentiva que se fale apenas italiano e, se você se disciplinar para atender a esse requisito, progredirá mais do que pode imaginar! Minhas dicas são: não seja tímido, participe das atividades extras e evite qualquer pessoa que continue falando inglês!A escola tem um restaurante/café de alto padrão no local, o que é um verdadeiro bônus.Só me arrependo de não ter ficado mais tempo – na minha opinião, o preço é muito, muito bom.

Acabo de terminar un curso de una semana en Taormina y puedo recomendarlo de todo corazón a cualquiera que quiera llevar sus conocimientos de italiano al siguiente nivel. La escuela anima a hablar sólo italiano y, si te disciplinas con ese requisito, ¡progresarás más de lo que imaginas! Mis consejos son: no seas tímido, participa en las actividades extra y evita a todo aquel que siga hablando en inglés.La escuela cuenta con un restaurante/cafetería del más alto nivel, lo cual es una verdadera ventaja.Lo único de lo que me arrepiento es de no haber ido más tiempo.

The experience in Sicily was great. I really liked the school, the atmosphere, the people, the place itself, the teachers… So I’m coming back very happy! The house was quite nice and with my flatmate, also very nice. And the whole trip was perfect, which was helped a lot by the Sicilians, who couldn’t be more charming and welcoming. The truth is that I have fallen in love with the island and its people and I am very happy to have done this course and to have lived this experience.
