Our bookbinding course is organized in the book binder’s workshop in Florence. The bookbinder, in fact, has at his disposal his personal talent, materials and tools.
That is why it is important for you to acquire knowledge directly in the book binder’s studio.
The bookbinding course will allow you to learn fast and make quality items in short time.
The craftman will follow you in every single step. You will also learn the tricks of the trade!
This course is individual and it is taught in Italian. Since lessons are one to one, the programme adapts to your own needs and requests. You can also apply for an interpretation service.

Gracias a la profesora Simonetta y a los miembros de studiainitalia Federica y Lara, toda la experiencia ha sido mejor de lo que esperaba.
Simonetta no sólo es una profesional muy experimentada en su campo, también es muy buena profesora. Y también una persona encantadora.
No importa si eres un principiante en este campo o alguien que ya está en él pero le gustaría aprender otras técnicas de encuadernación, éste es un buen lugar al que acudir.

I took the bookbinding course for two weeks, very recently.
Thanks to the teacher Simonetta and studiainitalia members Federica and Lara, the whole experience was greater than I expected.
Simonetta is not only very experienced professional on her field, she is also a very good teacher. And a lovely person as well.

I did not speak Italian but it did not matter at all. It is a practical course and Simonetta can speak English well.
I had time to make 3 books of differing types. The materials were part of the tuition fee so there were no extra costs.
I travelled from Australia specially for the course and had not travelled much on my own before. I had no problems finding my way around. I enjoyed shopping at the markets and cooking. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I can only recommend to anyone that they do it. My teacher was warm,friendly and very supportive. She made the whole experience amazing.
Studiainitalia are very helpful. They will answer any questions you have promptly.
There are extra activities if you want to do them in weekends and after school finishes for the day. I great time in Florence. It’s a beautiful city.

He hecho las dos semanas de encuadernación. Con Simonetta. Me ha encantado cada minuto. He aprendido mucho y he podido empezar en el nivel adecuado de experiencia.
No hablaba italiano, pero no me importaba en absoluto. Es un curso práctico y Simonetta habla bien inglés.
Me dio tiempo a hacer 3 libros de distintos tipos. Los materiales formaban parte de la matrícula, así que no hubo costes adicionales.
He viajado desde Australia especialmente para el curso y no había viajado mucho por mi cuenta antes. No he tenido problemas para orientarme. He disfrutado comprando en los mercados y cocinando. Ha sido una experiencia cultural maravillosa. Simplemente puedo recomendar a todo el mundo que haga este curso. Mi profesora ha sido muy cálida, amable y me ha apoyado mucho. Ha hecho que toda la experiencia fuera increíble.
Studiainitalia es muy servicial. Responderán rápidamente a cualquier pregunta que tengas.
Hay actividades extra si quieres hacerlas los fines de semana y después de terminar las actividades diarias de la escuela. Me lo he pasado muy bien en Florencia. Es una ciudad preciosa.

He asistido al curso corto de encuadernación este septiembre. Ha sido increíble. Dos semanas trabajando con papel florentino, hilo, cuero y pergamino. He aprendido mucho de Simonetta y me ha encantado su estudio. Ella (aparentemente) lo sabe todo sobre encuadernación y retauración y no ha dudado en compartir sus conocimientos. Nosotras (ella y nosotras dos “alumnas”) hemos compartido momentos maravillosos y hemos hablado y reído mucho mientras encuadernábamos nuestros libros.
